You wanted it. You got it. It’s lovely, isn’t it?

Oh, you think it a disease of that red, white, blue place. No people, this disease has spread better than Ebola to all places in this capitalist system. It is in fact a kind of lifeblood one might say of capitalism. Without corruption or incompetence where would we be? After all, you surely remember chaos theory? You surely remember this perverted Darwinist illusion of fittestness, defiled by one religion or other trying to convert Darwin into one of theirs when he was not one of ours either. All these useless arguments propping up our arguments against their propped up arguments.

OK. Imagine that once upon a time there was this thing called communism somewhere existent on this planet. Of course you know this is a fairy tale. No communism could exist where men (meaning people of both genders, or more if you like) breathe, for one simple reason: incompetence. To have a truly functionable system like what people like to call communism, you would need to have human beings as morally, soulfully, generously, intelligently competent as that Francis guy from Assisi who liked animals as well as people, although probably people were in second or third place depending on the animals present.

This artificial [sic] intelligence thing has a political function of course, as you already know. For instance last week this poem written before 1980 was thrown into one of those detector sites to lo and behold come back with 26% human content. My gosh! was my reaction because it called me human at least a little bit. That’s better than what some of my wives have called me. Which made it quite clear, at least to me and my inflated self-worth, that the purpose of all these new machines is to destroy credibility, to destroy truth as we know it so that truth can be replaced with whatever political self-serving system these incompetents come up with by not thinking for themselves.

Short aside from Jack Handey, Deep Thoughts:
To me, truth is not some vague, foggy notion. Truth is real. And, at the same time, unreal. Fiction and fact and everything in between, plus some things I can’t remember, all rolled into one big “thing”. This is truth, to me.

Communist this and communist that has now emerged as a battle cry once again for a new generation of those who feel gods when they march with others of the same ilk or ick, whatever, voices raised incoherently (incoherence is good!) to some tune fashioned for those proles from this manual a few of them have internalized called 1984. Of course lacking capacity for irony, never understanding true satire, paranoid about comedy, these beggars worship screens filled with images provided by the powers that be. (An explanation from experts: The irregular verb to be is the most complicated of all the English verbs—and it just so happens to be the most used, too. The to be verbs are am, are, is, was, and were, along with the bare infinitive be, the present participle being, and the past participle been.)

This constant complaining about on the one hand and semi-worship of on the other hand (left hand or right hand, eh?) of nonexistent communism is not nearly so complicated if you have spent any time at all with history written before the memory hole became popular.

Socialism is now also a thing for thing one or thing two, I forget which one loves Socialism. Maybe it was the cat in the cap, you know, the red cap, which is actually very communist in color. Anyway, Socialism is like milk in tea, you know, so it looks better for consumption while existing amidst brutally simple mass murder, genocide if you like, worthlessness of others, law of the jungle, any of these made up terms that try to describe whatever it is you want to describe that is not really anything close to what you, as a brave westernized consumer, live each day of your privileged life while genocides and wars consume money which is miraculously produced by the same machine that gave me a 26% human rating for that poem I wrote before I left the red, white, blue place.

There was no pretense in ancient empires that we are coming to liberate you from your local despot. They were always coming, like now, to enslave you to your new and improved despot with the best pure laundry flakes that could even be biologically OK for the hell of an environment we got here folks! (Pure Soap Flakes are small, translucent, crystal like, silky flakes of pure Castile soap concentrate that are food grade saponified from a signature blend of organic vegetable oils of coconut and sunflower seed.)

So if your delusional brain still believes that any of those regimes that called themselves communist were anything other than gangsters at the top skimming the best life possible for themselves, like the gangsters at the top today, then of course you are a lost cause because… well, because you go around believing stuff. Belief is the trap my friend. Lack of belief is what you need, like a hit of Mezcal with the worm, which they still sell here by the way and not in my good friend’s California where it could arrive so easily from its place of origin. Somebody in that bureaucracy must pity that worm, I guess.

Anyway, getting back to whatever polemic this was to begin with: The incompetent always rise to control governments and institutions because by sheer incompetence they can gum up any system to make it dysfunctional enough so that only the incompetent corruptible thieves and murderers can get to positions where they can control the dysfunctional system.

Apparently we already have a capacity to scan brains well enough to discover psychopaths, sociopaths and the brain dead, so I see no reason to think these types of people could possibly be rehabilitated into empathetically loving and caring people like you and me (I’m assuming a lot here, probably also about myself).

Then, ipso facto, according to this current logic (it has been around a long time) we could theoretically take these brain-scanned children (theoretically) out of our social system and (theoretically) away from those responsible for their upbringing and (theoretically) put them into a type of alligator Alcatraz (ha ha) or better yet (theoretically) throw them out of helicopters into the Gulf of America where oil rigs love to explode and burn (theoretically). Would it be cruel and unusual punishment? The Supreme Court (theoretically) wouldn’t really care, seeing all or most of them have been beamed forward from Torquemada’s inner circle.

Think about how perfectly that Inquisition functioned for so many years, with questions you could only answer truthfully if you were ready to die, and you could only lie if you were ready to die. I mean, you throw the dice and they always come up snake eyes or boxcars. So what better models could our masters now have than a manual written by an anti-communist and a perfectly oiled (with blood) system from a believer. (Did Torquemada really believe or was he laughing every night as his semen discharged after a successful day of blood-letting and burning? “I love the smell of burning flesh in the morning!”)

Ours have not yet declared their open love for burning flesh, but come closer to that each day. Soon a spate of mass killing will come to preserve this grip on throats that they now have, especially on the throats of you civilized middle class educated people who actually still have some kind of faith in law and rules and all that, hindrances these psychopathic sociopathic incompetent barbarians have never had to have because they learned early on the art of the fuck-up that makes others pay for your sins because those others cannot comprehend that the fuck-up is the point.

Anyway, if I prayed (Did I pray once or twice when I was a kid in Catholic school? Probably. Didn’t come to much, I guess, so I stopped praying like I stopped playing chess and those other waste of time board games, especially Monopoly, America’s barbarian training ground.) — if I prayed, I would most certainly not pray for this mass of people who have allowed themselves to come under the yoke of these incompetent purveyors of doctrines they wouldn’t believe in even if they understood what was in the doctrine. If you think there is anything these criminals won’t do, then please go stand in line to become Soylent Green, because that is where you belong, along with Charlton, who ironically (you get irony, don’t you?) leant into the Soylent faction as his immaturity and incompetence increased with age.

So no, I am not asking you to stock up on guns Mr. and Mrs. and Ms. America, that would be unthinkable in a world where real communists roam the countryside, you know, giving, helping, empathetically running manufacturing enterprises for the benefit of others, with this thing called competence arising from intelligent use of knowledge and implementing it to make the system function at optimum for all—except of course for the dangerous psychopaths, sociopaths, masochist narcissists we have dealt with in our own special way so that they cannot breed or (gods forbid) raise incompetent pleasure-obsessed young who partake in sinful revels. (Oh boy! Sinful. Some of that Catholic school language has stuck with you, hasn’t it?)

Anyway, as the author of the current manual for domination quoted from ancient script:

Here comes a candle to light you to bed,
And here comes a chopper to chop off your head!
Chip chop chip chop the last man is dead.

(Do you think Orwell might have actually intended it to be The Manual?)

Prompt:
Hundreds of eyeless, faceless people wander through a massive labyrinth. An exit leads to a burning pit, seen from above by a laughing demon in a cloud.
