Orbánned Out of Power

Hungary all over again.

Orbánned Out of Power

Yeah. Good. The D Party won the House and the Senate, some governorships, some county and city stuff. But they only convinced the disaffected, the ones who think the new guys can do a better job. They didn’t change the deeply weird and bent psychology behind the core members of the cult. The True Believer still believes. The proto-fascist now grips his gun even tighter in his fist.

Nothing has really changed below the surface. The 2025 team is still in place. Those ideologues will continue to do as much damage as they can to democracy. They will continue to destroy education. They will pollute like hell in order to turn a profit. Big money still has a stranglehold on the Supreme Court and the election system, and corruption will not stop.

You may think there is A New Hope. You have to remember that A New Hope is followed by The Empire Strikes Back. It always strikes back, and more viciously. Look at The Czar in Russia and how he has become even more vicious because Ukraine has upset his best laid plans. Now he targets civilians. He wants to make them turn against their givernment. It didn’t work in Iran. It didn’t work in Afghanistan. It didn’t work in Vietnam. It just doesn’t work.

Signor Orange got Orbánned, but he still sits on his throne. It’s not his fault. It’s all those losers who lost faith in his eminence. He’s not responsible for them. Not now. Now they are losers. He’s the only winner. He has never lost. 2020 could not possibly have been a loss because he is and always will be undefeated.

We are still at the Edge of the Abyss (Reign of the Empire). The Republic has not been saved yet. Maybe it’s beyond saving. The heart of the D Party belongs to corporate personhood. The DSA people are despised because they have not yet been corrupted into massaging their ideals and allowing the Calvin Coolidge scripture quotation “The chief business of the American people is business” to become their guiding light.

Of course the DSA people are still capitalists, they just want to raise taxes a little on the wealthiest and create a few safety nets for the poorest. They don’t seem to realize that ruthlessness and domination are the most beloved character traits of the American people. But they will get there. They’ll buy guns. They’ll feed the war machine. It’s just a matter of time. They are not yet comfortably ensconced in their seats of power. They’ll come around. Won’t they?

Their major sin—in the eyes of the D Party honchos and the R Party islamophobes—is that they have a ❤️ for the Palestinian people. This is seen as a defect in their DNA. They obviously don’t come from the warrior class that conquered a continent and subjugated the world. Too many of them belong to the once-subjugated masses. The natural order has been upset.

What is the Muskrat going to do now? How will he react to the threat of having his power eroded, maybe even taken away? Is it possible to nationalize SpaceX and make Starlink/Starshield government controlled systems? These are very good questions. Is it possible to expel the man, send him back, powerless, to South Africa? That is something to explore.

But it won’t happen. The system is bent like a pretzel. Of course if the AI bubble bursts after the new congress takes its seats in January, the DSA will get the blame, not because they did anything, just because they exist. The social network bot boys will flood the system with news about data centers being forbidden and investments tanking because of the threats made by DSA. No one will remember that in China the bubble burst just a few days ago. Half a trillion dollars was wiped away.

Oh well, I’m just sitting here, watching the world from the cheap seats. It’s an interesting show.

Maybe some more of these autocrats will get Orbánned soon. That would make many of us normal people happy.
